LA-based design vanguards Davide Berruto and Camilla Trigano of Environment launch an emporium featuring products made in the US.
Berruto and Trigano are the CEO and director of marketing, respectively, of Environment, a company dedicated to celebrating sustainably made furniture. The duo recently decided to bring together like-minded brands and artists, with an emphasis on made-in-America goods, under one roof in the La Brea redevelopment district of LA. The warehouse-like space plays host to some of our favorite LA creatives (Commune Design and RTH, for instance), offering an eclectic mix of goods for the home. "It's less about commerce and more about embracing the creative", as Berruto says. "I see it as a textured weaving and interplay of space, cultures, and identity on the westernmost edge of America."
Shelter Half will run through the end of March (the good news is that it will transition to an online retail venture). Go to Shelter Half for more information.
