Discovered via Design Skool, an appealingly retro Scandi shower from Lundagård, an 1860s timbered house in Finland.
Aja and Christian, the owners of Lundagård, disassembled and rebuilt the house fifty miles from the original location and renovated the home themselves. We especially like the minimal and well-considered shower, which features antique fittings and locally sourced materials. For more on the project, go to Design Skool.
Above: Christian made the black shower curtain rod from old metal fittings; the ceiling is lined with wood sourced from the surrounding forest, protected with a coat of white linseed-oil paint. The ceramic tiles are from Finnish company Pukkila.
Above: Dornbracht's Tara Black Edition Wall-Mounted Shower Mixer with fixed riser and cross handles approximates the fixture used at Lundagård; see the Dornbracht website for dealer information.
Above: Curved Shower Rod with Shower Liner and Hooks Set in black is $37.49 from Overstock.
Above: Organic Seersucker Shower Curtain; $130 from Coyuchi.
Above: French Enamel Door Sign; $19 from Souvenirs of Paris.
