Good news for those of us in the Bay Area who missed the Marfa Amigos show at Heath's LA outpost earlier this year. The husband and wife artist team of Jamey Garza and Constance Holt are bringing their Marfa sensibility and designs to Heath's new factory and showroom in San Francisco.
The original Marfa Amigos show came about after Heath's LA studio director and potter Adam Silverman befriended Jamey Garza and Constance Holt on a visit to Marfa, Texas. The LA show was such a success that the two studios have launched a Garza/Heath collaboration: first up, Table No 1., a tiled coffee table that has been finished in time for their show that opens tomorrow. Garza Marfa runs from September 29 through November 11th at Heath San Francisco, with the opening reception on Saturday, September 29, from 5 to 8pm . Go to Heath Ceramics for more details.

"The way we use saddle leather buckets and upholstery shows the hand work exclusive to each piece," Garza says. "It allows things to be natural and imperfect much like Heath Ceramics." The Oval Saddle Leather Chair is available for $1,300.
