Spotted (and coveted) at the new Heath Tile Factory in San Francisco: the Chez Panisse Line in compelling muddy matte tones.
I've always liked the Chez Panisse Collection, but truth-be-told, I've never been a fan of the glaze (sorry Alice). Dilemma solved: The collection, a collaboration between Heath Ceramics, chef Alice Waters, and designer Christina Kim, now comes in muddy hues of sand, tapenade, and slate.
Above: Chez Panisse Side Bowl; $37 in slate.
Above: The new Chez Panisse palette was inspired by the limited edition collection Heath developed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Chez Panisse: The Plates in tapenade, cardoon, jicama, slate, and sand; $44 each.
Above: The Cafe Bowl in tapenade is $35; the new collection of which a portion of the sales benefit Waters’ Edible Schoolyard Project.
