Steal This Look: Toronto Kitchen by Jennifer Hannotte

When Toronto-based interiors stylist Jennifer Hannotte of Hannotte Interiors set out to update her kitchen, she was aiming for a Scandinavian cottage feel. With a limited budget (and some basic materials like plywood), she managed to create the clean rustic vibe she was seeking.

Hannotte, who's a fan of the raw wood look, covered one wall with birch plywood and applied a coat of mineral oil to bring out the grain. She painted the remaining walls of the kitchen Gallery White from Behr ("White is fresh and modern and, especially in a small kitchen like mine, it helps to unite rather than divide") and the floors a gray shade from Behr called Ashes.
